Letting go 💛
to let something new in...
Dear Heron Guide community,
It’s that time of the year when one needs to cut down and allow the excess to fall, just like trees are dropping their precious leaves. Here in England, it’s getting cold, and I have been enjoying the quieter evenings - but I’ve also been busy with a lot of not-at-all-creative work. It’s been challenging four months, really challenging, but now I am back at my writing desk, even if the time seems limited. I am looking at my priorities, and I just crave more freedom in my schedule - to write my book and to give Heron of Bath some love too.
In the last year, I’ve launched a few new projects, and Heron Guide was one of them. It felt so good to do it. It felt so good to talk to so many beautiful people about their journeys and their gifts. It felt so good to give back. To spread some light.
But in the last few months, I have struggled with the workload—the Substacks, the social media, scheduling, recording and editing the videos—and only two of my projects have made the cut with the energy and time I had… and Heron Guide was not one of them. Perhaps that was a sign that it was not meant to be… in this period of my life.
It’s sad, as I have built a small, beautiful community here, and the project felt so rewarding to create and run. But currently, as the time, the light, and the energy seem a little limited - I’ve decided to take a pause.
I hope this was as useful an experience for you as it was for me, and thank you so much for those who gave me beautiful feedback and the love so far.
Paid subscribers, thank you so, so much for your support. Your subscriptions will be stopped as of today, and the yearly subscribers will be reimbursed for the remaining time. All other funds received to date from the start of this project will be divided equally between all the interviewees. It’s not much, but it’s my gratitude for their time and love for me - and for Heron Guide.
For now, we pause.
We stay still.
We look at what’s next.
Perhaps we’ll meet again. I hope we will.
Love,
